Chinese commercial soybean oil stocks rose to nearly 1.5 million tonnes, up 4.3% year on year and the highest for this time of year since 2024, as crushing plants kept running at high capacity while demand weakened. Soybean oil exports in the first nine months of the year reached nearly 800,000 tonnes, more than triple the prior year, and Dalian futures fell up to 1% on surplus pressure and lower crude.
Heavy Chinese crush-driven oil supply and rising exports add bearish pressure on soybean oil prices, and high crush margins also keep soybean meal supplies ample for feed buyers.
