DTN's retail fertilizer survey shows seven of eight tracked fertilizer prices rose month over month in late October, with UAN28 up 4% to $446/ton and anhydrous up 3% to $1,007/ton. Urea fell about 2% to $669/ton.
Higher nitrogen and potash costs raise the input cost for feed grain production and can shift planting economics, while the urea decline is a small offset. Routine retail price tracking has limited direct impact on feed commodity prices.
