European grain futures fell again at the start of the week, with wheat, corn and rapeseed all lower on Euronext. The March 2027 corn contract dropped back to about €250/t, its lowest since mid-August, and the December 2026 wheat contract fell to €225/t, its lowest since mid-July.
Pressure came from the US market and from investors reducing agricultural exposure amid uncertainty over Russia and Ukraine.
Lower Euronext corn and wheat prices make European feed grains cheaper for buyers, though the euro's firmer position against the dollar reduces EU export competitiveness. Rapeseed weakness also eases costs for meal and oil supply chains.
