The US dollar fell against major peers after Democrats won majorities in both the House and Senate. The Dollar Index traded about 0.43% lower near 101.40, close to its monthly low of 101.25.
Investors were awaiting US private-sector employment and ISM Services PMI data.
A bearish dollar break toward the monthly low could support dollar-priced agricultural commodities. The effect is limited by the pending US data and is unlikely to change feed prices on its own.
After 1,637 past bearish macro events, US Dollar (Broad) moved a median -0.2% over 5 sessions (39% higher; middle half -0.6% to +0.3%), and -0.2% over 20.
