Thai 5% broken rice export prices slipped to $480-515 a tonne from $514-520 the prior week, the lowest since late May, as demand sagged and the baht weakened. Vietnamese prices rose slightly as persistent rain in the Mekong Delta slowed the summer-autumn harvest.
Weak Thai demand is pressuring export quotes, while Vietnamese harvest delays partly offset the decline. Net pressure on global rice prices is mixed and limited in the near term.
