Corn rose 2.18% in the Cepea/Esalq Campinas indicator (SP) between October 26 and 30 while the Imea Mato Grosso price fell 2.19%, as the dollar rallied after Lula's re-election. Mato Grosso sold only 19.8% of the 2026/27 crop, and China is expected to buy just 900,000 t of US corn.
The divergence reflects weaker Mato Grosso selling pressure against firmer São Paulo port demand, leaving Brazilian domestic corn prices mixed. A weaker real and slow Chinese purchases of US corn keep the feed-grain outlook balanced for buyers.
