Fertilizer costs in the US have risen as much as 40% this year, according to DTN retail price surveys. Seven of eight major fertilizers rose in price last month, and all eight now cost more than a year ago.
Anhydrous ammonia averaged $987 per ton, up 17% year on year, and urea was up 13%.
