On November 4, Vietnamese raw rice prices rose sharply. Export-grade IR 504 and CL 555 each rose VND 250/kg to VND 9,350-9,450/kg, broken rice rose VND 300/kg to VND 10,300-10,600/kg, and bran rose VND 350/kg to VND 8,350-8,550/kg.
Higher Vietnamese export and by-product rice prices tighten supply for feed buyers using broken rice and rice bran, and point to firmer Asian rice pricing after India's export restrictions. The move is a routine local price update rather than a new policy shock.
