All crude palm oil futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives fell sharply, with the November 2026 contract down 83 ringgit to 4,350 ringgit per tonne. Malaysian palm oil stocks hit a record in September 2026 and are expected to exceed 3 million tonnes by year-end.
Indonesia also cut its November CPO reference price by 6.1% to US$978.90 per tonne.
Rising stockpiles and weaker Chinese vegetable oil prices push palm oil prices lower, which eases costs for feed buyers. The lower Indonesian reference price also cuts export levies, which can encourage more palm oil exports and add to downward pressure.
