Côte d'Ivoire's agriculture minister Bruno Nabagné Koné announced that first- and second-grade cottonseed purchase prices will stay at 310 and 285 FCFA per kilogram for the 2026-2027 season. Input prices, including NPK fertiliser at 18,100 FCFA per 50 kg bag and urea at 17,050 FCFA, will also be held at last season's levels.
Holding farm-gate prices steady supports planted area despite a difficult international cotton market, which keeps local cottonseed supply stable. The effect on global feed-ingredient prices is limited.
