OCP Group and US-based Koch have received European and Ukrainian antitrust approvals for Koch's acquisition of 50% of Jorf Fertilizers Company I (JFC1), a subsidiary of OCP Nutricrops. The European Commission approved the deal on 30 October 2026, and the unit has an annual capacity of about 1.2 million tonnes of phosphate fertilizer.
The transaction's completion still depends on legal and contractual steps.
Combined with the existing Kofert joint venture, the Jorf Lasfar units would reach about 2.5 million tonnes of annual phosphate fertilizer capacity, adding supply through Koch's US distribution network amid a tight global phosphate market. The deal is a supply-side expansion that could ease some pressure on phosphate fertilizer prices over time.
