Corn futures traded 3 to 4 cents lower at midday on Tuesday after USDA reported a private export sale of 315,000 MT to Mexico and 136,000 MT to South Korea. NASS data showed the US corn harvest 74% complete as of November 1, 3 points behind the five-year average.
Routine export sales and harvest progress add modest supply-side pressure, but the moves are small and fit the ongoing downward drift in corn futures. Steady export demand gives some support to cash prices.
