SWIFT's October 2026 Global Currency Tracker, using September data, ranks the Thai baht 11th by value of payments on its network, up from 18th in August. The baht's share rose to 0.83% from 0.28%, and it is now second in ASEAN behind the Singapore dollar.
The shift reflects growing use of the baht in international payments, which can modestly support its international standing and trade settlement. It has little direct effect on feed commodity prices.
