CIARA-CEC reported that Argentina's grain and derivatives exporters brought in US$2.88 billion in foreign currency during October 2026, the highest October figure in 25 years. That was 10% below September but up 157% year on year, driven largely by corn and wheat shipments.
The 2026 year-to-date total reached US$25.156 billion, 14% below the same period in the prior year.
Strong corn and wheat export shipments tighten Argentine exportable supplies and support export prices. Higher dollar inflows also add peso-side demand, but the figures mainly reflect delayed sales after last year's temporary duty suspension.
After 480 past neutral trade events, CORN moved a median +0.2% over 5 sessions (54% higher; middle half -1.1% to +1.6%), and +0.7% over 20.
After 206 past neutral trade events, WHEAT moved a median +0.1% over 5 sessions (53% higher; middle half -1.3% to +1.6%), and +0.5% over 20.
