Belarusian officials say the Nezhin mining and processing plant plans to reach annual capacity of 2 million tonnes of potash by the end of 2027, from a planned 500,000 tonnes this year. The project has faced construction delays, and about 400,000 tonnes have already been produced and sold abroad.
Added Belarusian potash capacity increases global export supply over the coming years, which is bearish for potash prices. The timeline has slipped before, so near-term supply impact will be limited.
