On November 3, domestic DDGS prices were broadly stable with range-bound adjustments; Henan transactions were negotiated and some Northeast ethanol plants raised prices slightly. Corn averaged 2,211 yuan/t, up 5 yuan/t, while soymeal spot prices were weak at 3,100-3,150 yuan/t on the coast with inventories near 1.4 million tonnes.
Rising corn costs are squeezing ethanol margins, which supports DDGS offer prices, but weak soymeal and cautious downstream buyers cap gains. Expect DDGS to trade within a narrow range this week of roughly 30-50 yuan/t movement.
