Turkey's October producer price index rose 27.41% year on year, nearly flat from September's 27.38%, after a two-year disinflation trend. Consumer inflation was 29.77%, and the central bank has about $158bn in reserves and a 36% policy rate.
Reserve drawdowns of $35.8bn have temporarily stabilised the lira.
Producer prices now sit below consumer inflation, and any renewed lira weakness could push input costs up again. For feed buyers in Turkey, that means higher imported ingredient and energy costs if the currency slides.
