In Tokyo morning trade on Monday, USD/JPY fell from the 157.90s to the 157.78 area and was near 157.81. The previous day's US 10-year yield was 4.901% and Japan's was 2.767%, a gap that narrowed by about 1.9 basis points.
EUR/JPY traded around 176.60 and EUR/USD near 1.1195.
A narrowing US-Japan rate gap weakens the dollar against the yen, which slightly eases yen-denominated costs for Japanese buyers of dollar-priced feed ingredients.
