The USDA's Grain Crushings and Co-Products Production report showed US corn used for fuel ethanol at 438.42 million bushels in September 2026. That was about 9% below August but 1% above September 2025.
Total corn processing was 485 million bushels, down 8% from August, and co-product output also fell.
Lower monthly ethanol grind and co-product output reduce near-term corn demand and DDGS supply, a modestly bearish signal for corn and DDGS values, though year-on-year use remains slightly higher.
After 770 past neutral report events, Corn moved a median +0.2% over 5 sessions (54% higher; middle half -1.1% to +1.6%), and +0.7% over 20.
