Chicago soybeans for January delivery fell 1.4% to $12.16 3/4 a bushel on Monday, while December wheat rose 0.5% to $6.06 1/2 and December corn edged up 0.1% to $4.48 1/4. USDA reported private corn export sales of 1.73 million tons to Mexico and a flash sale of 136,000 tons of soybeans to China.
Strong export demand is being outweighed by concern that a record US soybean crop could exceed demand in 2026-27, keeping soybean and soymeal prices under pressure. Corn export inspections recovered but remain below last year's pace.
