Chicago, KC and Minneapolis wheat futures closed higher on Monday. NASS reported 83% of the US winter wheat crop planted and condition ratings at 44% good/excellent.
Weekly wheat export inspections of 75,413 MT were the lowest for any week since records began in 1983.
Record-low weekly export shipments point to weak US demand, but futures still rose on crop progress and firm wheat prices, so the net price effect is small.
