AUD/USD traded near 0.7010, near one-week lows and down 0.33% on the day, as traders trimmed positions ahead of the Reserve Bank of Australia's decision on Tuesday. The RBA is widely expected to raise the cash rate by 25 basis points to 4.85%, its fifth hike this year, as headline CPI rose to 4.3% in September.
A firmer RBA and a weaker Aussie change the cost of Australian exports and import-price pressure for feed buyers, and the currency move feeds into Australian commodity export competitiveness.
