The Port of Caddo-Bossier in Shreveport, Louisiana, reported 265,962 tons shipped by rail in the third quarter of 2026, up about 84% from the first quarter. Combined rail and barge freight reached 452,108 tons, up about 34%, while barge tonnage fell about 4%.
The growth was attributed mainly to rail activity and to steel-coil shipments.
This is local freight data for a Louisiana inland port with no direct link to feed grain or oilseed supply. It has little bearing on feed commodity prices.
