Moldovan MPs alleged that Ukrainian sunflower seeds were being transhipped at the Giurgiulești port, which the Prime Minister denied, saying the wagons held Moldovan seed for export. Industry sources say Ukrainian seed is not yet being supplied to Moldova for processing.
The dispute concerns import licensing and transit flows, which have only a marginal effect on sunflower seed and meal supply to the wider market.
