CBOT soybean futures fell to their lowest level in about 11 weeks on 2 November, down 18.25 cents to $12.16 per bushel, as crude oil prices dropped more than 7%. USDA estimates put the US soybean crop at a record and the corn crop at the second largest, with soybean futures down about 9% since last month's three-year high.
A record US soybean harvest and weaker crude oil are pressuring soybean and soymeal values, which lowers feed protein costs for buyers.
