Russia has begun trial grain exports through the Arctic port of Murmansk, with a first shipment of about 30,000 tonnes intended for North Africa. Russian grain exports fell about 38% year on year as Black Sea restrictions built domestic stocks and depressed prices.
The Arctic route is small and costly, so it does little to restore lost Black Sea volume; the main effect is continued export constraint that keeps domestic Russian wheat cheap while global supply stays tight.
After 163 past neutral logistics events, Wheat (SRW) moved a median +0.1% over 5 sessions (53% higher; middle half -1.3% to +1.1%), and -0.3% over 20.
