US retail gasoline and diesel prices fell over the past week as refinery maintenance wrapped up and seasonal demand faded. The national average diesel price declined 5.9 cents to $6.28 per gallon, and gasoline fell 17.1 cents to $4.12 per gallon.
Falling pump prices reflect easing seasonal demand and softer crude, which points to modestly lower farm and trucking fuel costs for feed buyers. The move is routine retail movement rather than a new supply shock.
