Thailand's chicken exports fell 4.9% to 863,470 tonnes over the first nine months of 2026 as competition from Brazil and China intensified. Thai exporters expect full-year 2026 shipments to drop about 5% to 1.2 million tonnes, then rise around 2% in 2027 if China stabilises and free trade agreement talks advance.
Lower Thai exports leave more room for Brazilian supply in Asian import markets, which keeps global poultry prices under mild pressure. The effect on feed demand is small because the decline is modest and Thailand is a minor player in global chicken trade.
