Chinese domestic Grade 3 yellow corn averaged 2,174.29 RMB/ton on October 30, down 1.42% from 2,205.71 RMB/ton on October 1. Prices stopped falling in late October as ports and processors restocked after farmers held back supply.
Heavy Northeast harvest supply, cheap imported substitutes and weak feed demand kept Chinese corn prices subdued, which limits import demand for US and other corn. The modest late-month recovery is unlikely to change that balance in the near term.
