Chicago grain futures closed lower on July 15, 2016, with September wheat down 9.25 cents to $4.2475 a bushel, corn off 5.5 cents to $3.5225, oats down 2.5 cents to $2.0425 and soybeans down 11.25 cents to $10.725. Livestock also fell, with August live cattle, August feeder cattle and July lean hogs all lower.
Broad declines across grains and livestock lower feed-grain and protein costs for buyers, but the moves are routine and reflect no new supply shock.
