GBP/USD held near 1.3390 in Asian trade on Monday as traders waited for the week's central bank and jobs data. Markets are heavily pricing in a Bank of England rate rise to 4.0% at its Thursday meeting.
Reuters-polled economists also expect the move, which would be the BoE's first hike since August 2023.
Expected BoE tightening supports sterling against the dollar, which mainly affects import costs for UK feed buyers rather than global grain prices. The move is largely priced in, so the price effect on feed markets is small.
