Analysts say the widening gap between domestic Chinese corn and international prices makes full-tariff imports more attractive, but non-quota imports carry significant risk. China's state reserve corn stocks are reported at a record 150 million tons, and weak auction demand may prompt authorities to lower auction prices.
Risk of tighter management of non-quota corn imports and large state stocks weigh on China's import demand, which is bearish for international corn export prices.
