Global66 projects the Colombian peso-dollar rate to trade between $3,160 and $3,250 in the coming days. The official rate at the start of the week was $3,182.99, after a 0.78% rise in the last week of October following a bearish trend of more than 5% during the month.
Banco de la República held its rate at 12.25% in a four-to-three vote.
Colombia is a minor feed and oilseed importer, so the peso move has little direct effect on grain or meal prices. A firmer dollar against the peso would raise local costs for imported feed inputs, though the effect is small.
