Canadian canola crushers processed a record 203,951 tonnes in the week ended November 16, topping the prior record of 198,859 tonnes set three weeks earlier. Year-to-date crush reached 2.68 million tonnes versus 2.32 million a year ago, and processor margins stood at $104 per tonne over nearby futures.
Record crush and margins well above last year signal strong meal and oil demand, supporting canola seed prices and underpinning crusher bids to farmers.
