The National Sunflower Association's December 5 bulletin reported new board officers and registration for its January research forum, along with 2016 seed quality data showing High Plains oil content at 40.8% and Northern Plains at 43.5%. It also noted the market was digesting USDA's 2017 acreage estimates and South American crop prospects.
Seed quality and oil content levels affect crush value and sunmeal yields, but the bulletin itself contains no new market-moving event.
Not enough comparable past events yet for a historical read.
