Feed wheat and oat prices weakened in Manitoba as CBOT corn fell on profit-taking and a firmer US dollar. Delivered elevator prices were C$4.40-4.49 per bushel for feed wheat and C$2.90-3.18 for oats.
Reports also noted China planning less corn planting and worsening bird flu culls in South Korea.
Weaker corn futures and a stronger dollar pressure feed grain values for Canadian buyers, while bird flu losses in Asia may support poultry-related feed demand. Overall the price implication is mildly bearish for grains.
