Farmers Weekly has mapped the farm gate milk prices paid to producers in 40 of the largest milk-producing countries, with year-on-year changes. The UK price for October was 24.17p per litre, just below a year earlier and 22.2% above the June low, with UK production down 6.7%.
The comparison shows global milk prices recovering unevenly from the 2016 low, which gives a general picture of the price environment but does not signal a new driver.
