Granular urea offers rose by $50/t fob through November, and India withdrew a tender because of high prices. Ammonium nitrate prices from the Baltic and Black Sea are firm, and CF fertiliser terms were withdrawn on December 2 as the nitrogen market tightened.
US and European supplies are tight for the spring, and exports from major producers are limited, which supports nitrogen prices into early 2017. Feed buyers should expect higher input costs for crops that will compete with feed grains.
