The first shipload of Moroccan NPK fertilizer is set to reach Nigeria in the coming days under a deal struck during King Mohammed VI's visit. Nigeria's agriculture minister says the country targets 700,000 to 800,000 tonnes of fertilizer a year, and the commodity will be sold at half the current price.
This is a small bilateral supply deal for one African market, with limited effect on global fertilizer prices.
