Argentina's sunflower harvest is forecast at 3.5 million tons, below earlier expectations, because of excessive rain in Buenos Aires province. Malaysian palm oil stocks rose 0.2% in December to 1.67 million tons as production fell 6.4%.
Several grain tenders and trade flows were also reported, including Japan's wheat purchase and Australia's lower grain export values.
A smaller Argentine sunflower crop tightens sunflower meal and oil supply, which is mildly supportive for those products. The Malaysian stock data is mixed and does not clearly move palm oil prices.
