Ukraine exported 80.5 thousand tonnes of sunseed in November 2016, up from 59.1 thousand tonnes in October. Sunseed shipments reached 142.5 thousand tonnes in September-November, the highest for that period since 2004/05.
Exports went to 40 countries, with about 82% going to Europe.
Strong Ukrainian export flows absorb available sunseed supply, supporting European demand for seed and keeping the regional crush market firm. The impact on world oilseed prices is limited.
