The Swedish Dockworkers' Union held an eight-hour strike at APM Terminals Gothenburg on January 24, bringing a total work stoppage at the terminal. The union says APMT has terminated the 80/20 Agreement, which will cease to be valid by mid-April, and redundancy talks over 24-30 dockworkers were scheduled to begin.
Repeated stoppages at Gothenburg add to port delays in Northern Europe, but the terminal is container-focused and unlikely to move feed commodity prices materially.
