India reported new H5N1 outbreaks at farms and a rescue center in the west and village birds in Orissa, killing 7 and 11 birds respectively. Russia reported H5 outbreaks at a Voronezh zoo and in Chechen backyard birds, and Slovenia confirmed its first H5N5 detection.
Slovenia and Romania also reported more H5N8 cases.
