Evonik has commissioned a Biolys L-lysine plant in Castro, Paraná, Brazil, with annual capacity of about 80,000 metric tons. The company said the plant will serve rising Brazilian and Latin American demand for feed-grade amino acids.
Added local lysine capacity in Brazil could increase regional supply and put modest downward pressure on lysine prices, while improving supply security for feed makers.
