Bangladesh signed a memorandum of understanding with Jordan to import rock phosphate and phosphoric acid for producing triple superphosphate (TSP). The MoU was signed on February 10 in Amman by the Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation and Jordan Phosphate Mines Company.
This is a supply-side agreement securing phosphate raw material for Bangladesh's domestic fertilizer production, a modest shift in trade flows rather than a global price event. Its impact on phosphate prices is limited.
