OmniTRAX's Brownsville Rio Grande International Railway completed the first rail grain shipment to a renovated silo at the Port of Brownsville on April 28. The 109-car corn train will be distributed to processors in Mexico and elsewhere.
The facility is operated by West Plains LLC.
This is the same opening of the Brownsville grain facility reported elsewhere, adding modest corn export capacity via rail to Mexico, with limited price impact.
After 285 past bullish logistics events, Corn moved a median +0.1% over 5 sessions (52% higher; middle half -1.5% to +1.5%), and +0.8% over 20.
