The Ministry of Commerce notified on 19 April 2017 that organic wheat, non-Basmati rice, edible oils and sugar are exempt from export ceilings and bans. Organic pulses and lentils exports were raised from 10,000 to 50,000 MT per annum, subject to APEDA registration and export only through EDI ports.
The notice affects only certified organic volumes, so global feed grain and oilseed prices are unlikely to move. It is a small easing of Indian export rules.
After 206 past neutral trade events, Wheat (SRW) moved a median +0.1% over 5 sessions (53% higher; middle half -1.3% to +1.6%), and +0.5% over 20.

Moves of each commodity's benchmark from the last close before the event. Historical reads pool past events of the same kind; they describe what happened, not what will. Not investment advice.
