OIE notifications show H5N1 bird flu outbreaks in Iran, which killed 10 of 230 backyard ducks, and in Vietnam, where 700 of 2,004 backyard birds died. H5N8 outbreaks continued in Europe, including at a large Swedish poultry farm, and Egypt reported 45 H5N1 events in March.
Continued outbreaks in Asia and Europe keep poultry disease pressure elevated, and this could weigh on export demand for feed grains and meals if it spreads to major producers.
