Aprosoja and Embrapa are running the fourth Technological Circuit for corn in Mato Grosso from April 24 to 28. Six teams will visit 240 corn farms in 35 municipalities to assess pests, diseases, planting practices and production estimates.
The results will give a snapshot of the state's off-season corn production system.
This is a field survey aimed at agronomic practice and yield estimation, so its direct price effect is minimal. Its production estimates could later refine views on Brazil's safrinha corn supply.
After 770 past neutral report events, Corn moved a median +0.2% over 5 sessions (54% higher; middle half -1.1% to +1.6%), and +0.7% over 20.
Moves of each commodity's benchmark from the last close before the event. Historical reads pool past events of the same kind; they describe what happened, not what will. Not investment advice.
