Russia's veterinary body Rosselkhoznadzor banned poultry exports from six regions with avian influenza and blocked all poultry product exports to the EU, except heat-treated by-products. Tatarstan was not included in the restrictions despite outbreaks there.
Export bans reduce Russia's poultry trade flows, which may shift demand and modestly lower poultry prices in the export markets it supplies.
